ESPN sideline reporter Samantha Steele is engaged to Minnesota Viking QB Christian Ponder earning her the honor of December 2012 Jersey Chaser of the Month.Steele and Ponder began dating at the begining of the NFL season and both had breakout years. Ponder claimed the starting job for the Vikings, while Steele was crowned ESPN’s new darling with the departure of Erin Andrews.

The couple met on the College Game Day set. When asked about the relationship, Ponder said: “The cool thing is that obviously, we’re both at the same time, so we don’t get to see each other that much. But at least one person isn’t feeling guilty about not making the effort to do it or whatever. Then we kind of have the same schedule in the off season, so that’ll be good.”

Camilla Belle- November 2012

Congrats to Camilla Belle who has nabbed the NFL’s most talked about quarterback Tim Tebow. Belle and the NY Jets backup QB were spotted bowling in Tebow’s hometown of Jacksonville during his bye week.

The actress dated Joe Jonas, who like Tebow is outspoken about his Christian faith. The couple was first photographed separately at the New York Met Gala in May.

Congrats to Eva Longoria for being named the October 2012 Jersey Chaser of the Month! Longoria, who earned the honor in December 2010, battled a public divorce when her husband Tony Parker, who was publicly accused of having an affair with a teammate’s wife. But that didn’t discourage Longoria from jersey chasing for long who is now dating NY Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. Longoria’s new romance maybe the reason why Sanchez is struggling in NY. We just hope she doesn’t bring a Jessica Simpson curse to the team.

After four years together, Maria Sharapova has called off her engagement to NBA player Sasha Vujacic. The tennis star has made it to the finals in three of the last five grand slams and won silver at the London Games. Sharapova is so dominant she doesn’t need to be a jersey chaser, she needs to be chased, which is why she is the September Jersey Chaser of the Month.

Congratulations to Rebecca Soni, who not won two gold medals in London but is our August Jersey Chase of the Month.

The captain of the women’s Olympic swim team is dating fellow Team USA member Ricky Berens. Before London, Berens buttom was better known than him for his swimsuit malfunction at the 2009 World Championships. But Berens won his first individual gold in at the 200-meter freestyle. Berens played the part of supportive boyfriend cheering on Soni. Soni became the first female to defend her title in 200-meter breaststroke, breaking her own world record with a time of 2:19.59.

Congrats to our July Jersey Chaser of the Month Jenny McCarthy. The Illinois native has been dating Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher since April. McCarthy’s relationship isn’t the only steamy part of her life, but the 39-year old appeared on the June cover of Playboy.

Panettiere first stole the hearts of sports fans in Remember the Titans, and then moved on to dating New York Jets players. Panettiere is currently dating Scotty McKnight but not before she had a long term relationship with team quarterback Mark Sanchez. There are no hard feelings between McKnight and Sanchez. But that doesn’t mean that McKnight doesn’t like the idea of Tim Tebow taking Sanchez’s starting job. McKnight gave up his No.15 jersey number to Tebow.
