According to the Associated Press, Alicia Keys will sing the National Anthem for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

The 13-time Grammy award winner is no stranger to singing at sporting championships, performing “Empire State of Mind” with Jay-Z after the Yankees won the World Series in 2009. This is the third time Keys has performed at the Super Bowl. In 2005, Keys sang “America the Beautiful” before Super Bowl XXXIX and performed at the Super Bowl XLII Pregame Show in 2008. Keys is a close friend of Beyonce, who is headlining the halftime show.
