The controversey comes after it was shown the Nanakuli runner missed third base. In the top of the sixth,  Petulama- Calfironia All-Stars led against Nanakuli, 7-6. With two outs in the inning, Petaluma manager came to the mound to discuss the next pitch, when his third baseman told his manager the prevous scoring Hawaii runner missed third base. On appeal the umpire called the runner out, giving the win to Petaluma.
