This is Crosby’s fifth fight in his NHL career. The altercation came late in the game as the Penguins were down 4-1. Normally, players do Crosby’s dirty work for him, but he tried the tactic to rally the troops. Unfortunately, it did not work as the Penguins lost 5-2.

I suspect after the game was over, Penguins owner and hockey legend Mario Lemieux grounded Crosby from TV for a month. Crosby has taken a lot of flack for living with Lemieux from 2005 until this season.
