Originally, Alosi was only suspended for four games after he said it was a “spontaneous act” to trip Carroll while he ran down a punt during the Jet’s 10-3 loss to the Dolphins.

Alosi said he ordered the wall to restrict space for Carroll. Jets General Manger Mike Tannenbaum made the announcement to the media and claims neither head coach Rex Ryan or  special teams coach  Mike Westhoff new about the plan.
