Victoria Secret opens flagship store at Cowboys stadium

Victoria’s Secret is that she is a football fan… the woman’s lingerie retailer opened its first flagship store at Cowboys stadium featuring the PINK NFL line.

The grand opening coincided with the Dallas Cowboys Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears and the first day of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an initiative the NFL has supported since 2008.

“For us, we’ve always tried to create merchandise that we thought our fans would enjoy,” said Cowboys’ vice president of brand management Charlotte Anderson. “To take it a step further and really have a unique shopping experience that’s aimed towards women … 46 percent of our fans are female. We thought they needed a little more style and a little more comfort to be able to enjoy and support their team. Being able to do it in this fashion is really unique.”

The Dallas Cowboys stadium opened in 2010 and is the largest domed stadium in the world earning the nickname “Jerry’s World” for it’s sushi restaurant, martini bar and yes- now Victoria Secret store.

Victoria Secret’s Hail to the Victors Michigan State T-shirt #FAIL

Maybe Victoria Secret needs to start reading Thejerseychaser.com after their awful oops written on a Michigan State t-shirt from the PINK collection.

While the t-shirt says “Spartans” and is green and white underneath “Spartans” the shirt reads, “Hail to the Victors”… the motto of State’s arch rival University of Michigan.

The t-shirt was taken off the website immediately after CNBC sports-business reporter Darren Rovell tweeted: “The folks @VictoriasSecret have made a horrible Michigan error.”

Victoria Secret is expanding their PINK sports brands to the NFL. Starting August 10, Victoria Secret will be selling fitted jerseys, underwear, hoodies & more in their I love the NFL collection. The teams featured are: the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers…. sorry Lions fans, maybe after a winning record.

Earlier this summer, VS reviled its MLB collection, offering women an alternative to the pink sports fan paraphernalia.

Victoria Secret PINK’s new baseball collection

Victoria Secret has finally given jersey chaser cute sports clothes to wear! Victoria Secret’s PINK unveiled its new Major League Baseball Collection over the weekend. The launch happened in Chicago to celebrate the Cubs v. White Sox inter-league series. Cub’s Randy Wells and White Sox’s Gordan Beckham were on hand at the Victoria Secret launch party.

Teams available are NY Yankees, Boston Red Sox, NY Mets, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, LA Angles, San Diego Padres, LA Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Minnesota Twins… sorry Tigers fans.
