Fox’s new NFL dating show premieres in June

Fox’s new dating show “The Choice,” has celebrities listen to non-celebrities pitch themselves for a one-on-one date. Jersey Chasers have the chance to go on a date with Ndamukong Suh, Rob Gronkowski and Warren Sapp… but the show does not make any guarantees that your date won’t stop your foot or fist pump you.

Also, joining the list of potential suitors are Joe Jonas, “American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks, and Jersey Shore” stars Pauly D and Mike Sorrentino. Four celebrities will appear on each episode and blindly chooses a date for the evening after three rounds. “The Choice” premieres June 8.

Government siezes 10 websites for streaming sporting events before Super Bowl

The US Government has shutdown at least 10 websites for illegally streaming sporting events. The crackdown comes with Super Bowl XXLV just four days away. The websites do not stream the content themselves but post links to other illegal websites.

“The illegal streaming of professional sporting events over the Internet deals a financial body blow to the leagues and broadcasters, who are forced to pass their losses off to fans by raising prices for tickets and pay-per-view events,” said Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney in Manhattan. “With the Super Bowl just days away, the seizures of these infringing websites reaffirm our commitment to working with our law enforcement partners to protect copyrighted material and put the people who steal it out of business.”

I take it Bharara doesn’t know Fox is charging $3 million for 30 seconds of commercial time during the Super Bowl… talk about a finical blow!
