UPDATE: Michigan hires San Diego State head coach Brady Hoke. Hoke was a defensive line assistant coach from 1995-2002. LSU football coach Les Miles will NOT go to Michigan. U of M Athletic Director Dave Brandon met with Miles last night in Baton Rouge to talk about the vacant coaching position in Ann Arbor. LSU AD Joe Alleva released a statement saying: “I am pleased to announce that Les Miles will remain the head coach at LSU. Les has led this program to many great successes on the field and his players represent LSU well off the field. We look forward to many great years of LSU football under his leadership.” In his current contract at LSU, Miles had a $1.25 million buyout if he chose to leave to coach at Michigan. Miles led LSU to a National Championship in 2007 but is a Michigan Man playing at the school under Bo Schembechler and also serving as an assistant coach. Walmart Wolverine fans are mourning at every trailer park, party store and Big Lots across the state…

As a Michigan native and Walmart Wolverine I think this video describes many fans’ feelings right now. Michigan fans stand divided with the firing of football head coach Rich Rodriguez, who in his tenure at Michigan went 15-22 and failed to beat rivals Michigan State or Ohio State. Front runners to fill RicRod’s position are Michigan Men LSU coach Les Miles and San Diego State coach Brady Hoke. Many UofM fans want Stanford coach Jim Harabaugh, who led the Cardinals to a 12-1 record and to their first Orange Bowl victory, but Harabuagh, who attended high school in Ann Arbor, is expected to go to the NFL. Despite the unlikeliness of Harabuagh coming to Michigan, fans should trust Athletic Director and former Dominos CEO Dave Brandon… he did revamp the Dominos’ sauce didn’t he? As for Rich Rod’s future, he is expected to go on tour with Josh Groban as his opening act.
