Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly back together?

Derek Jeter’s season maybe over with the New York Yankees, but his relationship with Minka Kelly has gone into extra innings. The couple was spotted in Miami together over the weekend having breakfast at Morgans South Beach. A source told the New York Post, “They are trying to see what the future holds for them. They may eventually get back together. This was not some sort of final conversation and meeting between them.”

After marriage rumors, Kelly and Jeter threw fans a curve ball when they broke up in August after three years together. Kelly is currently on location in Miami, filming her new show “Charles Angels” on ABC. After the breakup, Kelly was linked to her costar Ramon Rodriguez.

Last Thursday the Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs by the Detroit Tigers, but at least Jeter is not striking out off the field.

Our jersey chaser of the month Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter have broken up! The couple, who have been dating for three years, confirmed the news to People, “They care about each other and it was amicable,” says a source. “They’re still friends.”

The breakup comes just a month after the very private pair spoke about their relationship in the HBO documentary on Jeter’s 3,000th hit. In Derek Jeter 3K, Kelly joked about baseball IQ, “I didn’t know the difference between a run and a homerun.” Talk about a curveball!

While Kelly has become a regular fixture at Yankees Stadium, her schedule has kept her busy as she films the new Charlies Angels series down in Miami. Jeter’s Yankees are battling for a playoff position and are one game back from the Boston Red Sox.

While I feel for Minka… the good news is there is still a chance for the rest of us!

Minka Kelly’s boyfriend NY Yankees slugger may have hit his 3,000th hit, but not it is her turn to be honored as August’s Jersey Chaser of the Month. In an HBO documentary, Derek Jeter 3k, Kelly reveals she did not know anything about baseball before she began dating the 12-time all-star. “When I met Derek, I didn’t know anything about baseball at all. I didn’t know the difference between a run and a homerun. I thought if you made a connection with the ball, that was an automatic hit,” Kelly admits. But the Hollywood starlet has come a long way and is now a regular fixture at Yankee Stadium!
