According to USA Today, Favre is in talks to join the 12th season of Dancing With The Stars. Past NFL superstars who have been on the show include, Kurt Warner, Season 3 winner Emmit Smith and Chad Ochocinco.

The cast of the new season with be announced Feb. 28 during the Bachelor. Favre hopes going on Dancing With The Stars will help clean up his image after sexual harassment allegations by Jenn Sterger… good luck with that one.

According to one of the therapists, Favre sent text messages to her saying, “Brett here, you and Crissy want to get together, I’m all alone.” In another text message Favre said, “Kinda lonely tonight, I guess I have bad intentions.” On Monday, Favre announced he was retiring from the NFL, just days after the league fined Favre $50,000 for failure to cooperate in their investigation into the Jenn Sterger sext messages.

With the year Favre has had, many are speculating Deanna Favre to file for divorce from her husband. The college sweethearts have been married since 1996, but Deanna almost divorce Favre in the late 90s for his womanizing ways.

10. The Cast of Gossip Girl (Honorable Mention)- Spotted the cast of Gossip Girl getting cozy with the stars of Sports Center. First, Michelle Trachtenberg began dating NY Knicks forward Danilo Gallinari, and now Jessica Szohr is rumored to be with Aaron Rodgers.

9. Carrie Underwood (Honorable Mention)- The American Idol and country super star got her feet wet in the world of jersey chasing when she had a brief romance with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, but she will forever be a jersey chaser as she married Ottawa Senators captain Mike Fisher this summer. The couple have been dating for a year before their were engaged last January.

8. Savannah Brinson- LeBron James’ baby mama has long been the devoted and quiet girlfriend, and it has apparently paid off since LeBron allegedly proposed to Brinson this past fall to his high school sweetheart. Brinson has also stepped out into the spotlight doing an interview and photo shoot with Vanity Fair, giving details of her relationship with the basketball superstar and speaking out against his decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers.

7. Cameron Diaz- Surprisingly, Diaz was only took 6% of the vote for Jersey Chaser of the Year, but that is not stopping the Hollywood starlet and her relationship with Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. After a breif breakup early this fall, the two rekindle around the holidays, even celebrating Christmas in holly wood. Diaz has kept a low profile when it comes to jersey chasing, especially compared to A-Rod’s past celeb flames Madonna and Kate Hudson!

6. Cheryl Burke- Though Chad Ochocinco is engaged to another woman, we still have to give Cheryl Burke credit for being able to keep in line her outspoke Dancing With The Stars partner. It was rumored Burke and Ochocinco were romantically involved off the dance floor, and Ochocinco help fuel those rumors by giving Burke outlandish gifts. Despite no prior dancing experience, the couple tangoed all the way to the Final Four.

5. Kristin Cavallari- The former Hills star upgraded from Justin Bobby when she landed herself Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. But don’t be fooled, Cavallari is no rookie jersey chaser. She has had past romances with Mark Sanchez and Matt Leinart. While Cutler does not fall under her previous criteria to be a former USC quarterback, it seems to be working for the two… the Bears won the NFC North and have the second best record in the conference.

4. Hilary Duff- Long over are the days of Lizzie McGuire. Hilary Duff is a married woman and a lifetime jersey chaser. The 22-year old married hockey player Mike Comrie. While Comrie has been on five different teams in the past four years, and while he may not have a box office career, Duff can still quit her day job. Comrie is heir to The Brick furniture throne, worth an estimated $500 million.

3. Eva Longoria- What seemed a storyline out of Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria filed for divorce from her San Antonio Spurts star husband Tony Parker. What’s more is that Parker cheated on the Hollywood beauty with former teammate Brent Barry’s wife. As information began to leak out about the affair, Longoria stole the hearts of readers and nabbed 23% of the vote for Jersey Chaser of the Year!

2. Jenn Sterger- Our runner-up for Jersey Chaser of the Year is none other the woman who was made famous because Brett Favre sent sext messages to her. Sterger had a former gig on Versus The Daily Line, but the show was canceled in October, just as the Favre saga was gaining steam. The NFL promoted an investigation into the validity of the sext messages and voicemails but was drawn out for the majority of the season. Despite Sterger’s outspoken remarks that Favre should be suspended the NFL only fined his $50,000 for failure to cooperate with an investigation.

1. Kim Kardashian- Congratulations to Kim Kardashian! Not only is she one of the most Googled celebrities but in 2010, Kardashian was linked to four different athletes: Reggie Bush, Cristian Ronaldo, Miles Austin and Kris Humphries. After her on-and-off relationship with Reggie Bush finally ended in March, Kardashian could not stay away from jersey chasing for long… and we don’t blame her. Her hard work has earned her the prestigious title.

After months of deliberating the NFL has fined Brett Favre $50,000 for sending former NY Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger inappropriate text messages. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell determined there was not sufficient enough evidence to determine if Favre violated the league’s player conduct policy, but instead fined Favre for failure to cooperate with the NFL’s investigation.

Sterger has threatened to press legal charges if the league did not take action. Under New Jersey law, Sterger cannot file sexual harassment charges because New Jersey statue of limitations only gives a person a two-year window. Sterger had until December 28, ironically one day before Goodell made his announcement.

In the NFL’s official statement:

The NFL office conducted an investigation to determine whether Brett Favre’s interaction with New York Jets game-day employee Jenn Sterger in 2008 violated the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.

In reviewing the matter, the sole focus was on whether there was a violation of league policies regarding conduct in the workplace. NFL policies do not extend to private conduct or make judgments about the appropriateness of personal relationships, except where that conduct or those relationships raise issues under the law or league policies.

The investigation included an analysis of publicly available reports; a series of interviews with knowledgeable individuals, including Sterger and Favre; a review of communications between the two furnished to our office; and independent forensic analysis of electronically stored material. The investigation was limited in several respects because the conduct occurred in 2008 but was not brought to our attention until this fall. As a result, certain records and individuals were unavailable to the NFL.

The announcement comes three months after the league first announced it was investigating and during the final week of the regular season. The league has been criticized for its slow decision making, but you know how reliable cell phone service is…

UPDATE: Jenn Sterger and her lawyers released a statment saying they were disappointed but not surprised at the NFL’s ruling.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has not made his ruling on whether or not Favre violated the league’s personal conduct policy. Sterger has threatened legal action if Goodell does not punish Favre. Time’s also running out to vote for Sterger for Jersey Chaser of the Year!

During an interview with NBC’s Football Night in America, Goodell said he expected a decision by the season’s end. “I want to make sure we do what’s right,” Goodell said. “We take this issue very seriously.”

All signs point to that this is Favre’s last season. During last week’s Minnesota Vikings-NY Giants game, Favre missed his first game since 1992. Is stalling the decision Goodell’s way of avoiding suspending Favre and tarnishing the end of his career ?

Sterger’s manager Phil Reese told Sports Illustrated’s Dan Patrick Show:

“If the commissioner suspends Favre and puts a program in place to prevent it from happening again…100 percent, Jenn would not pursue any litigation against Favre, against the Jets, against the NFL. Nothing. All she wants to do is clear her name. This is not about money.”

During the interview, Reese also addressed many rumors surrounding the investigation, including that Sterger only texted Favre to see if it really was the legendary quaterback saying, “If this is you, the least you could do is smile instead of giving me that creepy stare every time that you pass by.”

Reese also insists it was Favre’s camp who wanted to pay off Sterger contrary to previous reports. The night before Deadspin released the photos, Favre’s agent Bus cook contacted Reese, “He [Cook] asked me is there a specific figure that you had in mind to make this go away.”

Sterger also faces another tough loss… she is behind in our voting for Jersey Chaserof the Year. Help a girl out!

Sterger going public is a change of tune after she refused to cooperate with the NFL’s investigation for months. Farve’s camp claims Sterger wanted a settlement to keep quiet. Looks like Plan B is for Sterger to sell her story… lucky for her this is Oprah’s last season.
