This Sunday the NFC Championship game versus the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will be played on Fox, and the network is taking full advantage with the upcoming season of American Idol premiering this week. American Idol winner Lee DeWzye tweeted, “National Anthem at home, yes. Go Bears.”
During last week’s divisional playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks, the Bears enlisted Chicago fan favorite Jim Cornelison to sing the National Anthem. Cornelison is famous for singing the National Anthem at Chicago Blackhawks games where it has become a tradition for fans to cheer for the entire song. If Cornelison is out and DeWzye’s in, I am sure Bears fans will still find something to cheer about.
Halfway through the most hyped game of the NFL playoffs and the NY Jets lead the New England Patriots 14-3. Headlines leading up to the game were not about the players but more so the trash talking. Patriots head coach Bill Belichik warned his players to not participate in the he said she said. But Pats WR Wes Welker not only ignored his coach’s orders but delivered one of the most 
13-year old Grendon Bailie was sent home from school after he wore a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey on Seattle Seahawks Appreciate Day.
