Congratulations to Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady, who gave birth to a baby girl. Vivian Lakle was born at the Brady’s home in Boston and is the couple’s second child. Older brother Benjamin turns three this Saturday, and Brady’s son John, 5 with Bridget Moynahan.
Gisele announced on her Facebook page: “We feel so lucky to have been able to experience the miracle of birth once again and are forever grateful for the opportunity to be the parents of another little angel. She is healthy and full of life. Thank you all for your support and well wishes. We wish you and your families many blessings.”
Brady gets to spend an extra day with his daughter since the New England Patriots do not play until Monday. The 9-3 Patriots face the Houston Texans, 11-1, which the best ever record between two teams on Monday Night Football.
Did Ellen DeGeneres enable a streaker on the field during last night’s Baltimore Ravens- New England Patriots game? Streaker Mark Harvey stormed the field during the NBC Sunday Night Football game wearing an Ellen cape and”Don’t be a bully, be a superhero,” painted on his chest. In April, Degeneres gave Harvey the cape after she learned he was a fan when he pulled a similar stunt at the Baltimore Orioles’ Opening Day.
Harvey has been nicknamed the Baltimore Batman for his advocacy against bullying. The now infamous streaker runs a website called Biggerthanbullying.com and sells t-shirts and bumper stickers with the mantra, “Don’t be a bully. Be a Super Hero.”
Jeff Demps won a Silver medal at the London Games and will now try and win a Super Bowl as he just signed with the New England Patriots. Demps had a successful football career at the University in Florida, but the 5’7″ runningback chose to focus on Olympic trials instead of entering the NFL Draft.
Demps represented Team USA in London when he was added to the men’s relay pool after Mike Rodgers suffered a stress fracture. Demps helped Team USA win Silver in the men’s 4X100 relay.
Demp’s silver medal and 2,470 career yards rushing and 23 touchdowns at University of Florida, caught the attention of NFL scouts. Demp’s agent Daniel Rose said: ”The NFL is about speed and there’s so much you can do with a guy like that if used correctly. He could be a kick returner, slot receiver, stuff like that. There’s gadget plays teams can come up with. If used correctly, he could definitely be a weapon.”
After watching her husband lose the Super Bowl on the final play, super model Gisele Bundchen defended her husband putting the blame on the New England Patriots wide receiving core after dropped passes by Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez. After the game, Bundchen had to walk through a crowd of Giants fans shouting, “Eli rules, Eli owns your husband.”
Bundchen was overheard saying to her entourage, “You [need] to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
