Tony Parker may not be saying YOLO right now since he may have to pull out of the Olympics from an eye injury he suffered in the Chris Brown- Drake NYC club fight. The former Mr. Eva Longoria’s conrea was scratched by glass after bottles were thrown at W.i.P nightclub. W.i.P could lose its liquor license after 14 charges were filed against the club extending from the fight. Parker had to undergo an opteration to remove glass that penetrated 99% of his left eye.
Originally given a positive diganosis, Parker said in an interview posted on his website on Sunday, “I almost lost my eye. I’m seeing a specialist in New York with the hope of being given the all clear to play in the Olympic Games,” Parker said. “Spurs are very worried.”
Parker filed a $20 million lawsuit stating club owners are responsible for the “corneal laceration of the left eye and other injuries.” While US Weekly claimed Parker was apart of Brown’s entourage, Parker says in the suit he wasn’t sitting with either party, but has said he was with “my friend Chris Brown.”
France’s first Olympic game is against the United States on July 29.
Lil Wayne was banned from tonight’s Oklahoma City Thunder- San Antonio Spurs game. The rapper tweeted, “Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena. Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!”
But it isn’t because Lil Wayne is a Spurs fan of why he is banned but rather because of Thunder guard James Harden’s girlfriend, Trina. Wayne and Trina previously dated for a year in 2007. Earlier this month, while performing a set at Miami night club Liv, Weezy professed his love for the rapstress saying, “I love you and miss you.”
Similar rumors merged during the Lakers- Spurs series that Wayne was not allowed court side. The Oklahoma City Thunder reps released a statement saying that Lil Wayne was told the game was completely sold out. While there are always tickets available for famous rappers, with the Thunder down to the Spurs 0-2, they needed one of their star players to be on their game.
In the spirit of the NBA playoffs, 6th grader Patrick Gonzalez paid tribute to his favorite San Antonio Spurs player by having Matt Boner’s picture shaved into the back of his head… but now Gonzalez in trouble with the school for being a distraction. “My 1st period teacher called the principal. She told her it was a distraction,” said Gonzalez.
Gonzalez is in trouble with the administration despite his mom asking for permission beforehand, “I didn’t want any kind of problems with any of the principals. I know there are rules and regulations anywhere else you go,” Mrs. Gonzalez told local news.
But Bonner is coming to the defense of the young fan, “Couldn’t you just move him to the back of the class?” Bonner said.“Then nobody would see it; it wouldn’t be a distraction. Otherwise, the nicest thing a fan has ever done for me is ruined.”
Despite the hairy situation, the Spurs lead the series 1-0 against the Los Angles Clippers.
