NFL using electronic forensics to determine if Jenn Sterger sext messages were sent by Brett Favre

Brett Favre had adamantly denied sending former NY Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger inappropriate sext messages back in 2009. The NFL is now using electronic forensics to determine if he is telling the truth. The story has dominated the sports headlines and prompted an NFL investigation. For weeks, Sterger refused to meet with the NFL, but earlier this month Sterger was interviewed by league officials and turned over SIM cards and phone records. The NFL has take the “substantial material” and relying on advanced technologies.

According to the NY Daily News, electronic forensic are being used to determine if the sext messages were sent from Brett Favre’s phone. Depending on the outcome, Tony Parker may decide to use the same excuse.
