Unviersity Maryland football player will miss Military Bowl due to scooter accident

The University of Maryland Terrapins are going to their first bowl game since 2008, but they will be without redshirted freshman Dexter McDougie. The No.3 cornerback will miss the Military Bowl against East Carolina.

A school official has informed the Washington Post, McDougie suffered a broken clavicle in a “single scooter accident” on campus on Saturday night.

Fellow teammate Isiah Ross was driving the sooter, but was not injured in the accident when the scooter hit a bump in the road.

The Maryland Athletic Director needs to think about setting a ban on all scooters because this is the second injury of its kind Pete DeSouza also a redshirted freshmen suffered two fractured legs in another scooter accident earlier in the season.
