While Tiger Woods’ marriage came to an end today, wife Elin Nordegren just got 100 million reasons to be happy. Nine months after the Thanksgiving Day crash, Elin released the statement:
“We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
Elin is reportedly receiving $100 million, and the couple will have join custody of their children.
Our friends over at Sports Illustrated’s blog Extra Mustard posted this video from my hometown of the Opera Singing Hot Dog Vendor. Ever since Tom Brady left a pregnant Bridget Moynahan for Gisele Bundchen he lost his Golden Boy appeal. Mr. Tom Too Cool for School Brady also apparently doesn’t have a sense of humor. Hard Knocks is the new HBO series giving the behind the scene look of the NFL as it follows the New York Jets training camp. It shares some hilarious moments, just ask Antonio Cromartie, but the Golden Boy is not interested.
The New England Patriots QB told the Boston Herald: “You know, I haven’t turned it on. I hate the Jets. I refuse to support that show. . . I’m sure it’s great TV and I’m glad people are liking it. But that’s something I have no interest in watching. I’d love to say a lot of mean things, too, but I’d rather not do that, either.”
Shaq’s new girlfriend is the former winner of Flavor Flav’s looking for love reality show “Flavor of Love.” But more recently, Nikki “Hoopz” Alexander (how fitting that she is now dating a basketball player) was on another VH1 reality show “I Love Money” (how fitting that she is dating Shaq).
Despite already being part of the VH1 family, it is unlikely that Hoopz will join the cast of “Basketball Wives.”
