Last night in New York City, Miles Austin celebrated his birthday by having dinner with Kim Kardashian at STK restaurant. After dinner the two headed to the after-party at SL Lounge. Austin is originally from New Jersey, and Kardashian is in town to see the unveiling of her Madame Tussauds wax figure.
Austin and Kardashian were first linked two weeks ago, but things seem to be going pretty well since last night Kardashian Tweeted: “Today is a good day
.” No word yet if Kardashian guaranteed a Super Bowl for the Dallas Cowboys for Austin’s birthday.
Mikhail Semenko was one of 11 Russian spies arrested this week for espionage. While Semenko may have been spying on the U.S he was a fan of U.S sports. Semenko’s Facebook picture is him in front of Solider Field, and he posted a photo album titled: “Let’s go Devils! And also Ilya Kovalchuk.” Interestingly enough, Semenko posted the photo album on November 2, 2008, and Kovalchuk, who is also Russian was traded to the Devils in February.
In a tight race between Lady Gaga and Cameron Diaz, July’s Jersey Chaser of the Month goes to New York Yankees Alex Roriguez’s newest squeeze Cameron Diaz. A-Rod is no stranger to jersey chasers. Previously linked to Madonna and Kate Hudson, A-Rod’s newest Diamond Doll is no disappointment. Actress Cameron Diaz has been linked to the all-star third basemen since May. While Diaz has been photographed leaving his apartment, Diaz told Playboy Magazine, “I’ve been in relationships since I was 16 years old. I’ve made a conscious decision not to be in a relationship for as long as I want… I want to have a relationship with myself right now.”
And so it begins… after months of anticipation the NBA free agency began at 12:01am.
LeBron James became the most coveted free agent in NBA history, and teams traveled to Cleveland to meet with him. Today, James met with the New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks. Other teams scheduled to meet with James: the Chicago Bulls, LA Clippers, and current team Cleveland Cavilers to discuss his future. But don’t expect a decision to come anytime soon, no contracts can be signed until July 8 when the NBA will announce new salary-cap figures.
While everyone came out to woo LeBron… even Jay-Z was on hand for the Knicks, the city of Cleveland continued their campaign to keep their superstar. 20,000 signs were passed out that read: “Home” at a Cleveland Independence Day parade. Fans even camped out outside of James’ home.
Other free agent Dwyane Wade, who allegedly organized the “summit” in Miami, met with the Bulls in his hometown Chicago. Chris Bosh, who many are saying will go wherever LeBron goes, met with the Houston Rockets but is not expected to sign.
The Cavilers are also shopping Delonte West… I wonder why?!?
