Tampa Bay Lightning playoff scheduling conflict with Toy Story on Ice

The Tampa Bay Lightning didn’t have much faith in their team making it far in the playoffs because they booked  St. Pete Times Forum out to Toy Story on Ice  right in the middle of the team’s deep playoff run. The Disney on Ice production is scheduled to be in Tampa Bay for Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Conference playoffs, coenciding with when the Lightning play at home. Despite sweeping the Washington Capitals in the second round, the Lightning have been waiting to start their next series as the Detroit Red Wings have pushed the San Jose Sharks to a Game 7.

Earlier in the Stanley Cup playoffs, the Boston Bruins- Montreal Canadians series was dictated by a Lady Gaga concert. According to the NHL, Games 3 & 4 will go on as scheduled… even if that means Steve Stamkos will be sharing a lockeroom with Woody. Sounds like Buzz Lightgear to the rescue!

Patrick Kane’s Stanley Cup puck mystery solved?

The puck form Patrick Kane’s goal that won Chicago it’s first Stanley Cup in 54 years has been missing ever since overtime in Game 6. An important part of history, even the FBI has investigated the whereabouts of the mysterious puck.

Now almost a year later, there may be a break in the case of the missing puck. Steve Miller, an 11-year NHL linesmen, has been removed from working any playoff games for the remainder of the season.

Miller reffed the night of the Stanley Cup, and in amateur video shot of the game winning goal, Miller is seen a “small black object” in the goal crease. While Miller denies any wrong doing, you can’t help but wonder what the puck happened to it?
