Baltimore Ravens fans turn in Joe Flacco for riding a skateboard

Baltimore Ravens fans will do anything to see their team win a Super Bowl, and that includes turning on Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. A distressed fan called Baltimore General Manager Ozzie Newsome to report they saw the franchise quarterback on a skateboard.

“I’d never been on a skateboard in my life, so I was literally riding it about 10 feet down my driveway just to see if I could stand on it and stay upright,” Flacco told NFL Total Access.“One of my neighbors must have called in looking for Newsome and left a voicemail on his secretary’s phone saying, ‘Hey, man, you got to let Joe Flacco know we’re trying to win the Super Bowl around here! He’s at home riding a skateboard. Somebody’s got to let him know what the deal is.’”

Flacco can’t trust his neighbors or his teammates. On Monday, Ravens safety Ed Reed called out Flacco along with the offensive line that they need to play better in this weekend’s AFC title game.

The Baltimore Ravens will face the New England Patiorts, and even though the Pats are favored, many are believe the Ravens and Flacco can skate by.

Tim Tebow headed to Dancing With The Stars?

Will Tim Tebow be the next NFL player to trade in his cleats for his dancing shoes? Dancing with the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff is campaigning for the Denver Broncos quarterback to join the cast of the celebrity dance competition.

Smirnoff told People.com, ““All I want for my birthday is for Tim Tebow to dance on Dancing with the Stars. Tim is a very talented athlete, that was clear when we saw his performance this past season with Denver.”

But Smirnoff is not alone in catching Tebowmania, producers of the show are also interested in the highly controversial quarterback. The 14th Season of Dancing With The Stars does not premire until March. Past NFL players include Emmit Smith, Jerry Rice, Chad Ochocinco, Hines Ward and Kurt Warner.

Miss America tells Aaron Rodgers to “call me”

The newly crowed Miss America isn’t fighting for world peace, she is trying to get a date with Super Bowl winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

At last night’s Miss America pageant, Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler introduced herself and state giving a nod to the Green Bay Packers, the NFL’s defending Super Bowl champions. Kaeppeler told the camera, watched by 8 million Americans, “If you’re watching, Aaron Rodgers, call me.”

While Rodgers was probably watching the Denver Broncos- New England Patriots game, the Pats blowout boosted the ratings to the Miss America pageant. The pageant’s ratings jumped by 2.8 million viewers at the Broncos- Patriots halftime.

Kaeppeler was crowned Miss America making her the second winner from her home state of Wisconsin. Unfortunately for Rodgers, we all can’t be winners, and the Packers were upset by the New York Giants in the NFC Divisional Playoffs, losing 37-2 on Sunday.
