Talk about a runaway bride! A couple who met running married while competing in the New York Marathon. Mary and Raymond Donaldson exchanged vows during the 22nd mile of the race. The ceremony was complete with Mary wearing a baseball cap veil and Raymond a vest and bowtie while a pastor ran beside them. This is the second time both have run the NY Marathon, Mary in 2008 and Raymond in 1987. Like a true gentleman, Raymond let his bride beat him by one second, finishing at 3:54.25. Congrats to the happy couple!
Is Reggie Bush the other man in the Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries divorce? Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband just after 72-days of marriage, and now there are reports she may have met up with her ex-boyfriend just days before. According to MediaTakeOut.com: “Kim knew that Reggie was in town to play the Giants, so she asked him to meet for lunch.”
Although the Miami Dolphins running back originally turned her down, Mother Nature intervened and his flight arrived in NYC earlier than expected because of the East Coast snow storm. The two dined at high end sushi restaurant Bar Messa in a private booth.
Kardashian and Bush dated on and off for three years, and Kardashian spoke openly about how she desired to marry the former Heisman trophy winner In a statement released by Humphries, the NJ Nets basketball player says, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
It’s been 72-days and Kim Kardashian has already filed for divorce from Kris Humphries. But was Humphries Kim K’s first choice for a husband? Wetpaint.com is reporting the Kardashian camp originally approached New York Knicks Danilo Gallinari to date the reality star.
According to the site: “They asked if he would be interested in dating her and being on a reality show,” a source said. “Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show, even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down.”
As Thejerseychaser posted back in December, Gallinari was linked to Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg. Despite being a “reality” show, Kim needed a storyline for the first season of “Kim and Kourtney Take New York” and wanted to date a New York athlete.
While Gallinari may have been approached, Kardashian and Humphries say they met after Kim spotted Kris at a Nets game and had a mutual friend introduce each other. Humphries Nets teammate Jordan Farmar told US Weekly he introduced the two: “I introduced them in New York and they have come a long way since. They both fit each other. He is a good kid. He is from the country … So he kind of slows it down, and she is fast paced and has a lot of stuff going on, so they kind of balance each other out.”
For as famous as Kardashian is, she sure has a thing for mediocre athletes.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Tony Romo who are expecting their first child. The couple married in June in a lavish ceremony accompanied by the Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s teammates. Now baby makes three, as Romo announced the good news a visit to Cedar Hill High School in Dallas, a student asked if he has any children, “Um, no, I don’t have any kids, I’ve actually got one on the way. My wife’s pregnant,” Romo said.
Romo’s wife Candice Crawford is a former Miss Missouri and is the sister of Chace Crawford. The timing is interesting, as Romo’s ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson, and our jersey chaser of the month, is also expecting her first child. In a weird six degrees of separation, Romo once dated Carrie Underwood, the ex-girlfriend of his now brother-in-law.
