You know you have made it when you can snub Buffey the Vampire Slayer. Two-time winning Super Bowl quarterback Eli Manning did just that to fellow guest Sarah Michelle Gellar on the Late Show with David Letterman.
A fellow Giants fan, Gellar is a native New Yorker and grew up on the Upper East Side. Gellar’s famly even had season tickets telling Letterman, “I used to sit out there and freeze on the 50 yard line. But I was on a plane last night, so I only got to see half of the game.”
But when it came time to meeting her team’s quarterback, Gellar was given the Heisman by Manning.
Letterman asked, “Did you get to see Eli backstage?”
“No, his security wouldn’t let me near him. It was weird,” Gellar said. “I was trying. I was like, ‘No really, I’m just a big fan.’ I think that’s where I went wrong. ‘I just want an autograph and a lock of his hair!’ But they said ‘no.’ Awkward.”
Maybe Manning wasn’t a fan of Gellar’s Golden Globes dress either?
Cee Lo Green with join her Magesty at the Super Bowl halftime show next Sunday. The Queen of Pop was named the performer back in November, and it has long been speculated as to who will join her. The Grammy winning F$%#@ singer has been traveling back and forth to Madonna’s New York City to practice the performance. Already confirmed acts, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A will perform Madonna’s first single “Gimme All Your Luvin” off her new albumn M.D.N.A.
But Cee Lo will not be the only boy in the midst of Material Girls. Last year’s Super Bowl performers the Black Eyed Peas revealed LMFAO will also share the stage. Will i.am told Capital FM, “I’m going to the Super Bowl this year to see my group LMFAO perform with Madonna.”
Is Reggie Bush the other man in the Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries divorce? Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband just after 72-days of marriage, and now there are reports she may have met up with her ex-boyfriend just days before. According to MediaTakeOut.com: “Kim knew that Reggie was in town to play the Giants, so she asked him to meet for lunch.”
Although the Miami Dolphins running back originally turned her down, Mother Nature intervened and his flight arrived in NYC earlier than expected because of the East Coast snow storm. The two dined at high end sushi restaurant Bar Messa in a private booth.
Kardashian and Bush dated on and off for three years, and Kardashian spoke openly about how she desired to marry the former Heisman trophy winner In a statement released by Humphries, the NJ Nets basketball player says, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
Despite being dumped by Kardashian, the good news for Humphries is that he now has a good chance at winning an NBA Championship!
