The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback twice accused of sexual assault will not live with his fiance before they are married. Ben Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that due to their religious beliefs, they will not move in together until after the wedding. Big Ben has been dating Ashley Harlan on and off for the past five years, despite having sexual assault allegations against him as recently as this past summer.
While the couple has their living arrangements figured out, they still do not know where they are having their wedding. Roethlisberger has invited more than 500 guests to the wedding, including all of his teammates, coaches, and Steelers executives. The originally location was going to be the Consol Energy Center, but the WWE already has the venue booked for a wrestling match… how classy!
Move over Tony Parker! Back in December, basketball fans were stunned when Pheonix Suns star Steve Nash filed for divorce from his wife just a day after she had a baby. Since then new information has surface about the separation.
Nash married Alejandra Amarilla in 2005 but broke up a few months before the baby was born after rumors of cheating allegations. The allegations were confirmed when Aljejandra gave birth to a black baby. Now the father is said to be Nash’s former teammate Jason Richardson. The Suns abruptly traded Richardson to the Orlando Magic in December, around the same time the baby was born.

Jersey Chaser Cameron Diaz is green lighting a movie project about a baseball romantic comedy and wants her Yankee slugger boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, to star in it. According to the Daily Express, “Cameron actually has an idea for a romantic comedy set around Major League Baseball…She’s very excited about developing her own projects and the fact this one is about a baseball player means she has good reason to spend more time with A-Rod and the Yankees.”
In the past, A-Rod has been known to be very supportive of his girlfriend’s careers, evening playing Madonna in the Yankees clubhouse. Diaz and Rodriguez started dating last summer, and though the couple split in the fall, things seem to be better than ever. Get the popcorn ready!
At 42, Laura Vikmanis is the oldest cheerleader in the NFL. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Cincinnati Ben-Gals member is having her life turned into a movie. In the ultimate breakup revenge, the mother of two teenage daughters got into cheerleading after her husband left her.
Vikmanis had been a dancer he entire life, and thought cheering for the team looked like fun. Though she didn’t make it the first year, Vikmanis spent a year improving her fitness and getting into shape. Now, she is a registered dietitian and older sister to the 20-something teammates.
The writers from Gnomeo and Juliet will pen the script. Writer Kathy Greenberg even compares it to Oscar wrothy saying, “It’s really a feel good populist story in the vein of Blind Side. It’s got more comedy to be sure, but it’s an earnest story.” Bring it on Laura!
