Philadelphia Phillies Roy Halladay pitched a no-hitter in Game 1 of the division series against the Cincinnati. This is only the second no-hitter pitched in MLB post season history. The Philles beat the Reds 4-0. After the game Halladay said, “It’s surreal, it really is. I just wanted to pitch here, to pitch in the postseason. To go out and have a game like that, it’s a dream come true.”
Halladay is no stranger to no-hitters, the 33-year old pitched a no-hitter earlier this season. Only five players have thrown two-no hitters in one calendar year. Halladay is the first to throw a no-hitter in both the regular season and the post season. Watch the clip above of Halladay’s final out… and props to the fan who filmed this, which is not an easy task!
