Well so much for denying the story. Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from her basketball star husband Tony Parker. TMZ first reported the story yesterday, saying Parker filed for divorce in Texas, before Longoria released a statment saying it was false.
One day later and Longoria has filed for divorce in Los Angeles. Longoria sited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She is also seeking spousal support. Longoria makes $400,000 per episode on Desperate Housewives, but Parker signed recently signed a four-year, $50 million contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs.
The couple signed a prenup when they were married in 2007 but amended it last year.
Do you think the cheating allegations are true?
UPDATE: TMZ is reporting that Longoria told friend and Access Hollywood host Mario Lopez that she discovered text messages on Parker’s phone. The texts were allegedly between Parker and a teammate’s wife.
Among the Spurs 12-man roster, six of the players are married: Matt Bonner, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Antonio Mcdyees and Tiago Splitter. It is not known if Alonzo Gee, whose named has surfaced in divorce rumors, is married.
