Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph doesn’t know how many minutes are in an NBA game

Zach Randolph has been in the NBA for 10 years, but he still doesn’t know how long a basketball game is. After Randolph’s team, the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Phoenix Suns 109-99 on Monday, Randolph told a TV reporter, “We just finished the whole game. We played the whole 42 minutes.”

… only problem is there are 48 minutes in an NBA basketball game NOT 42. Randolph scored 23 points in Monday’s win, imagine how many points he would’ve had if the game was 48 minutes ;)

Dallas Cowboys forget to renew dallascowboys.com website domain name #FAIL

The Dallas Cowboys forgot to renew the dallascowboys.com domain name. The team’s website went down on Sunday night just after the Cowboys suffered a 45-7 loss to the Green Bay packers.

The Cowboys, who were a Superbowl favorite at the start of the season, are currently 1-7 and fired head coach Wade Phillips on Monday. During football season, dallascowboys.com gets more than 1 million visitors a month, that is second among football sites only to NFL.com. But on Sunday, visitors could not visit the team’s site. Instead internet browsers were greeted with a landing page indicating the address was available for purchase from Network Solutions LLC.

While the issue was resolved and the site is back up, it just added more fuel to this season’s disastrous fire.

NHL All-Star captains to pick teams

The NHL has struggled in ratings compared to the other major sports teams, and to fix this problem the general managers have proposed an idea that the NHL All-Star captains be responsible for choosing the NHL All-Star teams. The first six starters will be voted on by the fans for each conference. The top vote winners in each conference would be named captain, and the two captains will choose the rest of the roster (dodgeball schoolyard style). The proposal was presented by Brendan Shanhan, Hall of Famer and President of the Players Association at the general managers meeting in Toronto. Shanahan said, “We’ve worked for a little while now on this idea and this concept closely with the NHLPA. They like the idea, some of the players they’ve talked to, potential all-stars, they seem energized by it.”

Murder suspect arrested after he was seen on the big screen at Bobcats game

On Saturday’s Charlotte Bobcats Orland Magic game, a murder suspect was arrested after he was unintentionally seen on the JumboTron. Earlier in the week, Earle Barranco, 24 was spotted on the big screen wearing the same necklace witnesses described to police after Barranco shot and killed a man at Good Stuff Diner in New York City on Oct. 23.

Barranco had been on the run since he murdered his estranged friend Corey Scott after shooting him in the face.

Almost three weeks later, an acquaintance spotted Barranco on the JumboTron at the Bobcats game after recognizing the diamond money bag pendant necklace and reported the sighting to police. The North Carolina State Bureau then planned a stakeout where they arrested Barranco at Saturday’s game.

Despite the excitement, the Bobcats lost to the Magic 91-88.
