Justin Bieber basketball move with Mark Whalberg in the works

Justin Bieber proved his talents on the basketball court winning the NBA All-Star celebrity MVP over Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen. Now, a movie is being written about his basketball skills.

In June, Bieber revealed he was collaborating with Marky Mark on a basketball movie. Wahlberg will play a veteran baller who takes the up and coming Bieber under his wing. They hope to begin production for the movie this summer.

“It certainly [has to be] something that’s good enough to go and have green-lit and make right away, but I think it will be well worth the wait,” Bieber said.

No stranger to box office success with sports movies, Whalberg won an Academy Award for “The Fighter,” in which Whalberg both starred in and produced. This will be Bieber’s first motion picture despite the successful “Never Say Never”concert film.

Brad Pitt to narrorate MLB All-Star intro

Brad Pitt is taking time off from saving the world to narrate the MLB All-Star opening segment. The 82nd All-Star game will commemorate the   players in the game, and according to the MLB,   ”Pitt will celebrate Major League Baseball All-Stars past and present, showing fans what it means to be the best.”

Pitt is starring in an upcoming biopic film about baseball player and manager Billy Beane called Moneyball. The movie, which is out in September details how the Oakland A’s’ front office took advantage of more empirical gauges of player performance to field a team that could compete successfully against richer competitors in the MLB. Despite his newest movie role, Pitt admits he knows nothing about baseball, “I knew very little about baseball apart from taking one in the face in junior high,” (which resulted in 18 stiches).

While Pitt will not be at the game, Jordin Sparks and Michelle Branch will sing the National Anthem and “God Bless America” before the game!
