It looks like Cam Newton will be going from $100,000 man to Hard Knocks… the Carolina Panthers are the lead candidate to be featured on the new season of Hard Knocks. The HBO original series chronicles an NFL team’s training camp and upcoming season preparations. Panthers center Ryan Kalil tweeted, “Reliable source telling me possible reality sports doc TV series coming to NC after today’s media presence covering Panther POTA’s.”
This season is especially competitive because of the NFL lockout. Despite other teams’ interest, including the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos, the Panthers are said to be the front runner because of first overall draft pick Newton. Already proclaiming himself as an entertainer and icon, Newton is no stranger to controversy, after reports surfaced that Newton accepted money to play college football at Auburn.
You don’t make $12 million on your @$$ and Twitter without singing a prenup! According to reports, Kim Kardashian will sign a prenup with her fiance NBA player Kris Humphries, with whom she has been together with for eight months.
But not to worry, Humphries made it clear he has no doubts in the relationship because if the marriage fails, the New Jersey Nets star gets nothing. Kardashian’s home and all of her assets are protected, and if the couple gets a divorce, Kim keeps all the money she earned during their marriage.
Despite the steep terms, Kim’s sister Khloe came to her defense saying, “Do you know what kind of day and age this is? Everybody needs a prenup. I don’t care if you make five dollars or five million dollars, you’re protecting yourself… People are crazy, you never know.
If that doesn’t sound like happily ever after then I don’t know what does!
Yet another sports star is coming out with his own reality show… this time LA Lakers bad boy Ron Artest is showing his softer side. The player responsible for the worst brawl in NBA history has a new show called “Last Second Shot.” Cameras will follow Artest as he mentors a group of parolees by teaching them life lessons through basketball.
According to Artest, “We’re gonna put them through an intensive experience, give them hope and confidence to change their lives.”
Artest himself is no stranger to second chances, not only was he reinstated to the league after being suspended for the 2005 season, but was also arrested for domestic violence in 2007 and spent ten days in jail.
