The ink has barley even dried on the papers, and Carmelo Anthony and wife former MTV VJ La La Vazquez already have a reality show about moving to New York because the Melo-drama wasn’t enough of a circus. In a highly antcipated trade, it was announced yesterday, Anthony was dealt form the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks. The VH1 reality show is currently being called “La La’s Full Court Life” and will cronicle the couple’s life as they move back to their native New York. Reality TV veterans, the couple had a special on the music channel follwoing their July wedding. The new series will be 10 episodes long and will premire in August. According to the press release:
The wedding may be over but the fun is just beginning for La La. With the sudden news that her husband is being traded to the New York Knicks, La La will deal with new adventures in matrimony and parenthood as she prepares to move back home to New York City. Along the way, viewers will also see La La juggle her busy acting and television hosting career and seek advice from some of her famous friends, including 50 Cent,Kelly Rowland, Trina and Serena Williams to name a few.
Melo was also rumored to be traded to Chicago, LA, Dallas and New Jersey…. but those cities just don’t have the same reality show ring!
The Melo drama is finally over, and surprise surprise Carmelo Anthony is going to the New York Knicks in a 13-player blockbuster trade. In honor of the newest all-star at the Garden, Knicks fans have come up with a remix of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow.” While the song has been remade for every sports team including BYU, in the Knicks defense it wouldn’t be out dated if the song would have come out when Melo was originally supposed to be traded to the Knicks!
LA Clippers Blake Griffin won the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest by dunking over a car, but he was not the first to do it! In 1995, Marko Millic dunked over a car to win a Honda del sol at an all-star game in Slovenia. Millic played 44 games in the NBA, but at least he won a car.
Donald Trump is calling out Rihanna for canceling a concert claiming she was too sick but performed at the NBA All-Star game the following day. Rihanna was to be paid $500,000 to perform at the Mar-A-Loga Gala cancer benefit in Palm Beach. On the morning of the event, Rihanna backed out saying she was suffering from bronchitis. In actuality, Rihanna was partying in Southern California promoting her new fragrance and attending NBA All-Star events.
Jennifer Hudson was hired in place of Rihanna, but Trump is not letting the no-show off the hook, “For Rihanna to go to the All-Star game and perform after she told us she was sick, that is just a lack of respect,” Trump told the Palm Beach Post.
Sound like to me Trump wants to tell Rihanna, “You’re Fired!”
