It is not uncommon, especially when you school mascot is a Falcon, to have the a falcon symbolically flyover a stadium during important sporting games. That’s what was originally planed during the Air Force Georgia Tech Independence Bowl, only the falcon was released, but he didn’t come back! A spokesman for the Air Force said, “It’s not atypical for the birds to lose concentration or panic and fly away. They rely on trainers for food, so they usually come back.” While the flyover didn’t turn out as planned, Air Force won the Independence Bowl 14-7.

Ohio State standout quarterback Terrelle Pryor and five other Buckeye football players have been suspended for the first five games of 2011 for getting free tattoos in exchange for autographs and selling OSU memorabilia on Ebay. Offensive lineman Mike Adams is accused of selling his 2008 Big10 Championship ring for $1,000. While, running back Daniel Herron sold his football jersey for $1,150 and his pants and shoes for $1,000. Anyone else surprise a football uniform went for more than the championship ring?
