Mikhail Semenko was one of 11 Russian spies arrested this week for espionage. While Semenko may have been spying on the U.S he was a fan of U.S sports. And also Ilya Kovalchuk.” Interestingly enough, Semenko posted the photo album on November 2, 2008, and Kovalchuk, who is also Russian was traded to the Devils in February.

The rule “there is no crying in baseball” does not apply to hockey… at least it doesn’t apply to Jeremy Roenick. Roenick played for Chicago from 1988-1996 and is now an announcer for NBC. Besides the Blackhawks, Roenick played for a slew of NHL teams and had successful career, but he never won a Stanley Cup. Obviously, based on Roenick’s reaction to the Blackhawk’s Cup victory… it is what he regrets most. What is not clear is why Roenick always went for the big bucks and went to bad teams instead of Cup contenders?
