Congratulations to New York Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher and actress Joanna Garcia. The couple were married in front of 375 guests in Palm Beach, Florida. It was a star-studed event with A-Rod, Johnny Damon, Lance Bass and fellow jersey chaser Cameron Diaz in attendance. Jamie Lynn Sigler and Reba McIntyre were bridesmaids.
The “Better With You” actress and Swisher were engaged in May. Congratulations to the happy couple… maybe a Jersey Chaser of the Month title is in Garcia’s future?
Earlier this morning TJC reported the NY Giants Minnesota Vikings game would be postponed to tomorrow night due to unsafe conditions from heavy snow on the Vikings’ Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. Well now, the Metrodome has collapsed from all the snow, and the game has been moved to Detroit’s Ford Field, home to the Detroit Lions. One person who is happy about the unfortunate circumstances is Brett Favre, since people are now finally talking about another Metrodome.
UPDATE: Fans who want to attend tomorrow’s game in Detroit can either do so by redeeming ticket stubs from today’s Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game, or tickets will be given away for free at the Ford Field box office tomorrow at 9am.
The New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game has been postponed until tomorrow due to excessive snow in the Twin Cities. Strong winds and an expected two feet of snow has created unsafe conditions for the roof of the Viking’s Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
The Vikings-Giants game will be aired on Fox and will go up against Monday Night Football’ Baltimore Ravens- Houston Texans matchup on ESPN.
The postponement of the game comes as a relief to Giants players who were stranded in Kansas City until this morning. The Giants’ plane could not land in Minneapolis because of snow conditions. The team was preparing to do their pre-game walk through in the airplane hanger of the Kansas City airport.
Amid allegations Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria, the National Enquirer is now claiming the Desperate Housewives actress cheated with Lance Armstrong. Both Longoria and the seven time Tour de France Champion are from Texas and are “friends.”
A source told the Enquirer, “Tony knew when he was dating Eva that she was cheating on him with Lance – and he was suspicious all through the marriage that it might still be going on.”
Parker is accused of having an affair with Erin Barry, former teammate Brent Barry’s now estranged wife. Though Parker and Erin Barry maintain their innocence. Erin Barry took to her Facebook and denied the allegations saying they were just friends.
Lance Armstong is no stranger to being a jersey chased, past romances include Sheryl Crow and Mary-Kate Olsen. Armstrong and girlfriend had his fifth child this October.
