Alex Rodriguez and his jersey chaser Cameron Diaz have called it quits. According to Perezhilton.com, a source says, “They’ve broken up …. [and says Cameron is] hurt and betrayed, because she tried so hard to please him … She went overboard.” The couple have been dating since July but broke up only to get back together again this past winter. Throughout their courtship, Diaz stayed mum on their relationship only confirming they were dating in May. Diaz told Britain’s Elle magazine, “Yes, Alex is my boyfriend. It’s not a secret any more.”
This is not A-Rod’s first high profile romance with a Hollywood starlet… the Yankees slugger was together with Kate Hudson during his 2009 World Series win and dated Madonna, who was reportedly responsible for the breakup of Rodriguez’s ex-wife Cynthia.

S8ter Girl Avril Lavigne threw out the first pitch at the Tampa Bay Rays game and preformed at the Ray’s summer concert series for the Memorial Day weekend, but it isn’t her form that is drawing attention but that she shouted obscenities for all of Tropicana Field to hear. The incident occured as the crowd grew restless when Lavigne’s microphone stopped working during her opening song. When the crowd began to boo her, Lavigne shouted out obscenities just as her mic kicked back in broadcasting her feelings to all 25,000 fans.
The Rays released a statmenet saying: “The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night’s show. It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for.”
It is not known if the Rays will beef up secruity when the Wiggles come to Tropicana Park next month.
