A Seattle Seahawks fan has filed a lawsuit against NY Jets Shaun Ellis after he threw a snowball at him back in 2008 during a playoff game. After the Jets lost to the Seahawks 13-3, Ellis expressed his frustrations by throwing a snowball at a fan in the crowd with a Seahawks sign. During an interview with NBC’s Football Night in America, Goodell said he expected a decision by the season’s end. “I want to make sure we do what’s right,” Goodell said. “We take this issue very seriously.”

NY Jets strengthening coach Sal Alosi has been indefinitely suspended after it was discovered he ordered inactive players to form a wall on the sidelines to trip Miami Dolphin’s Nolan Carroll. Originally, Alosi was only suspended for four games after he said it was a “spontaneous act” to trip Carroll while he ran down a punt during the Jet’s 10-3 loss to the Dolphins.
Alosi said he ordered the wall to restrict space for Carroll. Jets General Manger Mike Tannenbaum made the announcement to the media and claims neither head coach Rex Ryan or special teams coach Mike Westhoff new about the plan.
During the NY Jets Miami Dolphins game, Miami cornerback Nolan Carroll was intentionally tripped by a Jets personnel while running down a punt. The man accused of tripping Carrolll is Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi.
Carroll was injured but later returned to the game to help the Dolphins win the game 10-6. After the game, Carroll’s teammate Channing Crowder said, “I wish they would have tripped me. I would have broken his leg.”
Late Sunday, Alsoi admitted to tripping Carroll and released a statement saying, “I made a mistake that showed a total lapse in judgment. My conduct was inexcusable and unsportsmanlike.”
