Chad Ochocinco changing his name back to Johnson

The artist formally known as Chad Ochocinco is changing his name back to Johnson. Ochocinco told NFL Live despite past drama he is staying with the Cincinnati Bengals in the final year of his contract and will start fresh by changing his name back to Johnson. The 6-time Pro Bowler first adopted the last name in 2006 during Hispanic Heritage Month. Ochocinco announced he would like to go by “Ocho Cinco,” in honor of his football number 85.

On October 29, 2006, during warm-ups before the Atlanta Falcons game, Ochocinco wore a jersey with the name “Ochocinco” on the back. Just before kickoff, Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer ripped the name tag on the jersey to reveal C.Johnson. The NFL fined Ochocinco $5,000. In 2008, Ochocinco legally changed his name, forcing the league to allow Ochocinco to have the last name on his jersey for the 2009 season.

As fellow Chaser AJ pointed out… Ochocinco is engaged, which maybe the real reason he is changing his last name back to Johnson. Who would want to be Mrs. Ochocinco… ¡Ay, caramba!

Man fired for wearing Packers tie after beating Chicago Bears

Chicagoland car salesman John Stone was fired for wearing a Green Bay Packers tie to work after the Chicago Bears lost to the Packers in the NFC Championship. On Monday, Stone wore his tie to work at Webb Chevrolet in Oak Lawn when he was approached by the General Manager to take it off. Stone thought his boss was joking but was later fired.

“I didn’t know you could get fired for wearing a tie. I’m supposed to dress up. I’m a car salesman,” Stone told WGN News in Chicago.

When asked about the incident, Webb Chevrolet General Manager Jerry Roberts said the dealership had done promotions with the Chicago Bears. “I don’t feel that it was appropriate for him to go directly in contrast with an advertising campaign that we spent a lot of money on.”

But things are looking up for Stone, not only are his Packers going to the Super Bowl, but he has been offered a job at nearby Chevrolet of Homewood.

General Manager Guy Cesario said, “Good salesmen are so hard to find…. To put somebody’s livelihood in jeopardy because of a tie is just idiotic.” Cesario relates to Stone because he is a Chicago Cubs fan who grew up on the South Side… too bad he can’t relate to Stone that he is a fan of a winning team.

Clay Aiken singing National Anthem at NHL All-Star game

When you think of hockey players you think tough, manly and rouged… everything American Idol runner up Clay Aiken epitomizes, so much so that it has been announced Aiken will sing the National Anthem at this year’s NHL All-Star game. The NHL is honoring the host city with not only having the Raleigh native sing but by naming Carolina Hurricanes Eric Staal as one of the team captains.

Akien told USA Today: “We all rally behind the home team,” says Aiken, a native of Raleigh, N.C., where the game will be held. Raleigh got the team, which had been the Hartford Whalers in 1997, and the team won the Stanley Cup in 2006. “I don’t think anybody in Raleigh knew much about hockey until the Hurricanes came to town, but now everybody has learned to love it”

This will be the first time the Green Men and Claymates will be at the same event.
