NFL decision on Brett Favre sexual harrassment to come by season’s end

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he will make his decision on the Brett Fave sexual harassment case by the season’s end. Jenn Sterger, the former NY Jets sideline reporter who Favre is accused of sending naked pictures to, said she wants to see Favre suspended or she will pursue litigation.

During an interview with NBC’s Football Night in America, Goodell said he expected a decision by the season’s end. “I want to make sure we do what’s right,” Goodell said. “We take this issue very seriously.”

All signs point to that this is Favre’s last season. During last week’s Minnesota Vikings-NY Giants game, Favre missed his first game since 1992. Is stalling the decision Goodell’s way of avoiding suspending Favre and tarnishing the end of his career ?

Tony Romo engaged to Chace Crawford’s younger sister

Tony Romo is engaged to former Miss Missouri Candice Crawford, who happens to be Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford’s younger sister. The pair have been dating since Romo broke up with Jessica Simpson last summer. If Simpson, Romo and Nick Lachey are all engaged, does that mean John Mayer is next? The 30-year old quarterback proposed at Candice’s 24th birthday party. Candice does double duty as a jersey chaser and sports reporter.

How is this for incestuous six degrees of separation… Romo used to date Carrie Underwood, who in turn also dated Chace Crawford. Welcome to the team Candice!

Sal Alosi ordered players to form wall to trip Carroll

NY Jets strengthening coach Sal Alosi has been indefinitely suspended after it was discovered he ordered inactive players to form a wall on the sidelines to trip Miami Dolphin’s Nolan Carroll. Originally, Alosi was only suspended for four games after he said it was a “spontaneous act” to trip Carroll while he ran down a punt during the Jet’s 10-3 loss to the Dolphins.

Alosi said he ordered the wall to restrict space for Carroll. Jets General Manger Mike Tannenbaum made the announcement to the media and claims neither head coach Rex Ryan or  special teams coach  Mike Westhoff new about the plan.

Vikings asking fans to help shovel out University of Minnesota stadium for Monday’s game

The roof of the Metrodome will not be repaired by Monday’s Minnesota Vikings-Chicago Bears game. On Sunday, snow collapsed the roof of the team’s stadium, and Vikings officials have asked the NFL for the game to be played at University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank. The new location would allow the game to still be played in the Vikings’ home state, the only problem is they are having trouble shoveling all the snow in time for the game.

In some areas, the snow is as much as five feet deep, and now Vikings fans are being asked to help shovel. The University of Minnesota is looking for volunteers from Thursday-Sunday to shovel out snow from the bleachers, concourse and football field.

While you will not be paid for your manual labor, don’t worry the university will supply you shovels.
