Last week, thejerseychaser.com posted pictures of Lady Gaga at the Mets game. On Friday, Gaga took in the Mets Yankees game, this time wearing a Yankees jersey. Before the game, Gaga Tweeted: “I just kicked my ass in the gym, time to wash it down with an ice cold NY beer.”
Although the Yankees lost 4-0, Gaga went back into the Yankees clubhouse to greet the players including Alex Rodriguez. Gaga smooth-talked her way passed security drinking Jameson and groping her chest over her jersey. Yankees GM Brian Cashman was upset about the unapproved visitor. When asked by a Post reporter, Cashman said, “What? I didn’t know that.”
According to the NY Post, Lady Gaga has now been banned from the New York Yankees clubhouse. Let’s see if this banned goes off easier than the steroid ban.
Update: Gaga is not banned… yet. GM Brian Cashman has come out with this statement: “Celebrities aren’t banned. If Michael Jordan showed up here, he would have access (to the clubhouse) but not after a loss. There is just a time and place it is not her fault.”
With the LA Lakers winning the NBA Championship, many are saying Kobe Bryant’s 5 NBA Championships and 2 MVP finals titles rival the Great Michael Jordan.
But Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan disagrees. Marcus took to his Twitter saying: “NO ONE… and I mean NO ONE should ever com par kobe Bryant to my dad an say that he is anywhere near close to my dad He’s jagging this game (SIC).”
*Jordan has 6 NBA Championships and 6 NBA FInals MVPs… not to mention the movie Space Jam.
Last night the LA Lakers beat the Boston Celtics 83-79 in a close Game 7 matchup. It is the sixteenth championship the Lakers have won, not to mention a back-to-back title. Kobe Bryant took home his second straight Finals MVP, but Lakers coach Phil Jackson, who won his 11th title, said the MVP of the night went to Ron Artest. Artest helped the Lakers come back from a 13-point deficit and scored 20 pts.
The night was not just about the players but the jersey chasers too! Lamar Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian took to her blog saying:
“When the team was presented with their Championship t-shirts, hats and trophy, I was literally bursting with pride. I even cried of happiness. Seeing that huge smile on Lamar’s face seriously melted me — I will never forget that moment! It’s embedded in my mind forever and I am so grateful for this experience. The people, the confetti, the screams, the tears of joy! Such an amazing feeling.”
The US’ second World Cup game ended in controversy, as Team USA tied Slovenia, 2-2. Mali referee Koman Colibaly disallowed American Maurice Edu’s 85th goal that would have won US the game.
Also tying in their second game was England, who played Algeria and tied 0-0. With both England and the US tying both of their World Cup games, it will come down to Wednesday’s third and final group games as to who advances. USA will play Algeria, while England faces off against Slovenia.
Here is how the US can still advance:
Option 1: US wins against Algeria, the U.S will then have 5 pts (England and Slovenia play each other, therefore only one of the teams will reach 5 pts)
Option 2: US ties Algeria and England loses and or ties with Slovenia (US must maintain goal advantage over England… US has three goals while England has one)
