No stranger to box office success with sports movies, Whalberg won an Academy Award for “The Fighter,” in which Whalberg both starred in and produced. This will be Bieber’s first motion picture despite the successful “Never Say Never”concert film.

Paramount Pictures has approached the music sensation to star in a movie about street basketball. Bieber will star alongside Mark Wahlberg. And it appears that Marky Mark has Bieber Fever, “He’s been sending me video, he sent me a video of himself, and I think he’s really talented,” the Oscar winning actor said. “He loves the idea.”
This will not be Bieber’s first acting gig, starring in two episodes of CSI, where he showed off his skilled acting chops. In the movie, Wahlberg will play Bieber’s reluctant mentor.
