Although Michael Vick agreed to go on The Oprah Winfrey Show, the notorious NFL quaterback backed out at the last minute. But it wasn’t Vick who canceled the interview but the Philadelphia Eagles. In the interview, Vick was set to reveal his time in prison and work the the Humane Society. But just a day before the interview was scheduled, the Philadelphia Eagles organization expressed their concern.
Vick released a statement saying: “After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22nd. I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future.”
Despite the cancellation, I wonder if Piers Morgan still paid Oprah?
The men who once called themselves Batman and Robin got into a heated dispute on Twitter over this offseason’s Cincinnati Bengals drama. Chad Ochocinco lashed out at Terrell Owens for being blamed for Carson Palmer asking to be traded or he would retire.
In January, Palmer told the Bengals organization he wanted out after spending his entire career with the team. After professing themselves as the Super Bowl favorite, the Bengals went a disappointing 4-12.
In the heated exchange, Ochocinco told TO, “Man its your f*&ing fault m QB is retiring, I should whoop our ass cause the blaming me.” TO called Ochocinco’s play out even reffering to the super hero nicknames, “Where was Robin all year?”
… No time for compliments Robin.

The National Enquirer is reporting that OJ Simpson was beat up in prison by a group of skinheads. Prison officials refute the claim, but the tabloid magazine stands by their story saying Simpson spent three-weeks in the hospital recovering form injuries.
Simpson’s former business partner, Bruce Fromong told the magazine, ‘The Juice’ was boasting about his success with white girlfriends while behind bars… Unfortunately for OJ, a group of young skinhead punks were within earshot and they were enraged,’ Fromong said in an exclusive interview.”
The altercation happened when Simpson was by himself in the exercise yard. Simpson is serving a 9-year sentence for armed confrontation with Las Vegas memorabilia dealers.
Hey, while it is the Enquirer, isn’t that what everyone said about the John Edwards or Tiger Woods stories?
It looks like the producers of Live! With Regis and Kelly are looking to expand their audience. Co-host Regis Philbin announced his retirement after this season, and Fox NFL analyst Michael Strahan has emerged as a possible replacement for the 80-year old veteran.
According to Pro Football Talk, “Philbin has been Strahan’s close friend, Rich “Big Daddy” Salgado of Coastal Advisors, posted a message on Twitter over the weekend claiming that Strahan is a candidate. If Strahan truly is a candidate, Salgado would know.”
The Super Bowl winner goes up against other candidates, Anderson Cooper, Josh Duhamel and Nick Lachey, who are rumored to replace Philbin who has been hosting the show since 1982. If Regis has anything to say about his replacement, he will be a Notre Dame fan.
