Michael Vick wants to be MVP for Christmas. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback told the Associated Press he would vote for himself as the league’s Most Valuable Player. After Christmas Eve practice, Vick said:
“I’m just blessed to be here. I spent two Christmases in Kansas, and that was by far the toughest thing I’ve had to do. Each and every year I reflect on that, and I think it will always make the holiday season more gratifying.”
In his second season since being banned from the NFL for dog fighting, Vick has earned the starting QB job for the Eagles and has the third highest passing rating in the NFL and has run for more touchdowns than all but nine NFL running backs. Seems like jail has really made Vick humble. Tis the season…

Hockey players have a stigma as the roughest and toughest athletes, but the behind the scenes look at the Washington Capitals in HBO’s miniseries Road To The Winter Classic is proving otherwise. In the newest episode, tattooed defensman Mike Green is seen riding an orange scooter on the mean streets of Pittsburgh, and Alexander Ovechkin, who may just be the game’s best player still lives with his Russian parents… one point for Sidney Crosby, who at least lives with Mario Leimieux.

After separating, a World Cup goal, a love child and a reconcile, Landon Donovan has filed for divorce from his wife Bianca. Mrs. Donovan is an actress on the TV show “Rules of Engagement,” and apparently the MLS doesn’t pay much since Donovan is asking for spousal support.
The couple have no children together, but it is still being debated who will take custody of the vuvuzela.
