LeBron James hitting on US Olympic swimmers

All eyes are on Team USA swimmer Lauren Perdue who will swim the first leg of the 4×200 women’s freestyle relay… including LeBron James. James asked Perdue to dinner when the men’s basketball team visited Olympic Village before the games.

Perdue confirmed the rumored meeting saying, “He did. He was kind of joking but he was basically like, ‘Would you like to come eat with me at the dining hall?’ And I said, ‘Um, I’m sorry, I have a curfew. So I turned that one down, yeah.”

The 2009 Beijing gold medalist is engaged to his high school sweetheart and baby mama Savannah Brinson. James joins teammate Kobe Bryant to be in the news for their game off the court. Earlier this week, pictures surfaced of Kobe Bryant shirtless with female fans at an Olympic after party in Barcelona. The pictures caused Bryant’s estranged wife Vanessa to almost cancel plans to attend the London Games.

Dennis Rodman authors children’s book

He may not pay his child support but that isn’t stopping Dennis Rodman from authoring a children’s book. The NBA Hall of Famer is releasing his own book called “Dennis The Wild Bull,” set to be released in September just in time for back to school.

Despite being sentence to 104-hours of community service for unpaid child support, Rodman is dedicating the book to his children. “We’re not only excited about the project but we believe it’s a step in the right direction for Dennis,” said Rodman’s agent Darren Prince.

“Dennis the Bull” is being co-written with screenwriter Dustin Warburton, who said, “Dennis has a lot of great lessons to convey so needless to say it’s not only going to be fun, it’s going to spread a positive message which is what children’s books are all about.”

I wonder if this counts towards those 104 hours of community service?
