LeBron James hitting on US Olympic swimmers

All eyes are on Team USA swimmer Lauren Perdue who will swim the first leg of the 4×200 women’s freestyle relay… including LeBron James. James asked Perdue to dinner when the men’s basketball team visited Olympic Village before the games.

Perdue confirmed the rumored meeting saying, “He did. He was kind of joking but he was basically like, ‘Would you like to come eat with me at the dining hall?’ And I said, ‘Um, I’m sorry, I have a curfew. So I turned that one down, yeah.”

The 2009 Beijing gold medalist is engaged to his high school sweetheart and baby mama Savannah Brinson. James joins teammate Kobe Bryant to be in the news for their game off the court. Earlier this week, pictures surfaced of Kobe Bryant shirtless with female fans at an Olympic after party in Barcelona. The pictures caused Bryant’s estranged wife Vanessa to almost cancel plans to attend the London Games.

Rihanna and Ciara in a Twitter fight over LeBron James

It all started when Ciara was on the guest panhel for E!’s Fashion Police when she sold out Rihanna saying she ran into her at a party and wasn’t very nice. The fued boiled over onto Twitter when Rihanna responded by tweeting, “My bad Ci, did I forget to tip you.”

The two exchanged heated tweets back and forth, but it isn’t the 140 characters that has everyone talking… but the reason behind the fight. At the NBA All-Star game, Rihanna snubbed Ciara after the Goodies singer tried to get into the VIP section of LeBron James and Jay Z’s Two Kings Party. Ciara has been linked to LeBron in the past, and Rihanna called out the singer for being disrespectul while LeBron’s fiance and former jersey chaser of the month Savannah Brinson was there. Savannah and LeBron are high school sweet hearts and have two sons together. In the past LeBron has been accused of being unfaithful, but not if Rihanna has anything to say about it!

LeBron James doesn’t know what “contraction” means

Last week, LeBron James upset a lot of people when he said the NBA should contract or downsize to make the league more competitive… because let’s face it, not every team can hold a players summit to get LeBron, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. But now LeBron is back pedeling saying he doesn’t know what contraction means.

“That’s crazy, because I had no idea what the word ‘contraction’ meant before I saw it on the Internet. I never even mentioned that. That word never even came out of my mouth. I was just saying how the league was back in the ’80s and how it could be good again. I never said, ‘Let’s take some of the teams out.’”

This is a perfect example the NCAA can use to encourage athletes to stay in school. In LeBron’s original quote, the 26-year old said:

“Imagine if you could take Kevin Love(notes) off Minnesota and add him to another team and you shrink the [league]. Looking at some of the teams that aren’t that great, you take Brook Lopez(notes) or you take Devin Harris(notes) off these teams that aren’t that good right now and you add him to a team that could be really good. Not saying let’s take New Jersey and let’s take Minnesota out of the league. But hey, you guys are not stupid, I’m not stupid, it would be great for the league.”

LeBron wants the game to return to its glory days of the 80s when he was only five-years old. Thanks blog brother for the link!
