Russian hockey league teams up with Playboy to find sexiest fan

In the newest issue of GQ Magazine, Russian hockey star Alexander Ovechkin talks about his love for Russian women. Ovechkin was named Russia’s most eligible bachelor by the Tatler and told GQ magazine, “Why do you think that is, that when an American goes to Russia for a week, he stays for two extra weeks? Girls! And when a Russian goes to America for a week, he leaves in five days. I’m serious! There’s a statistic!”

It seems the KHL, Russia’s premier hockey league, has taken Ovechkin’s advice and is capitalizing on the sex appeal of its female fans. Hot Ice, the KHL’s official magazine, has teamed up with Playboy Russia to find the league’s sexiest hockey fan. Women are encouraged to submit pictures and write why they love their favorite KHL team. The winner will be named Playmate of the month for April 2011.

Jersey Chasers… you have until December 31 to enter.

Weekend Video: Cleveland’s answer to the LeBron Nike commercial “Rise”

Normally I do not post multiple videos a day, but it is Friday and I don’t like LeBron James. Earlier this week, a Nike commercial was released of LeBron’s response to the back lash he received in Cleveland after he decided to sign with the Miami Heat and not the Cleveland Cavilers. The commercial is titled, “Rise,” and features LeBron asking “what should I do?” In the commercial, LeBron is in a number of different scenarios getting his tattooed removed, acting or being the arrogant person that he is. Now, Cleveland has retaliated with their own “Rise”, and I like the one above much better!

Brian Wilson and the Machine on Leno; Facebook fans want Wilson to host SNL

The San Francisco Giants are the World Series Champions, and to celebrate Jay Leno had Giants closer Brian Wilson on the Tonight Show. Throughout the season, Wilson has made references to a mysterious “friend” who wears a dominatrix mask and appears in various interviews. The Machine made a cameo on Leno yesterday. Wilson’s no hold bars personality has created quite the cult following, so much so that Giants fans have created a Facebook fan page called “Brian Wilson Should Host SNL.”

The page already has more than 15,000 fans! The fan page is also calling for the Machine to make an appearance as well. America was first introduced to the Machine back in August during this interview….

Douche bag LeBron fan gets all expsenvie paid trip from Miami Heat

Back in July, when Cleveland was still mourning the betrayal of LeBron James, Matthew Bellamy wore a LeBron Miami Heat Jersey to a Cleveland Indians game. His clothing decision caused quite a stir and was kicked out of the game. Now, the Heat have invited Bellamy to go down to Miami and attend a Heat game and meet the team.

Bellamy posted on his Facebook:

yeah, its a night named after me get to meet the team, all xpenses are paid for!! Cant wait super excited.

Maybe he can hang out with Kanye West after the game?
