No resolution to the NBA lockout yet, but the entire New Jersey Nets team has been given clearance to attend Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries wedding. Despite previous concerns that the no player-owner contact rule would prevent the Nets from attending the jersey chasing wedding of the century, all players and team personnel got the OK to go Saturday’s nuptials.
The Nets made the cut, after the bride-to-be had to disinvite 50 guests at the last minute because of over crowding. The fire department deemed the venue unsafe with guests, TV equipment and production crew on location. E! is filming the Kardashian-Humphries wedding in a four hour-two part TV special.
Other sports celebrities who made the guest-list are Venus and Serena Williams, Carmelo Anthony (Mr. La La Vazquez) and brother-in-law Lamar Odom. However, it appears as though Reggie Bush’s invite was lost in the mail!

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari’s relationship is under review… after calling off their engagement last month, the Chicago Bears quarterback is trying to win the Hollywood reality star back!
According to OK Magazine, a source close to Cavallari says, “He’s been trying to get her back. All of the rumors were originally that he dumped her but that was totally false and she knew something wasn’t right. He totally has a rep for being blah and a douche. But I haven’t heard about him going out at all lately.”
The couple began dating last August just before football season began and were engaged just 8 months later. Despite the breakup, sources to the couple would not be surprised if they got back together.
Cavallari’s rumored rekindled romance could be a publicity move after it was leaked the former MTV Laguna Beach and Hill star is joining the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars. No word yet on if Cavallari is all singing and dancing on getting back together with Cutler!
Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries are in a jersey chasing showdown over bride to be Kim Kardashian. Bush and Kardashian dated for 3 years before they had a nasty breakup last summer. Now, the reality star is engaged to NJ Nets Humphries after an eight-month courtship. The wedding is just over a week away, but if it is up to Bush there won’t be a wedding.
According to the new issue of Life & Style, Bush is trying to win Kardashian back. “He’s been sending text messages to Kim and leaving her voice mails, telling her she’s making a mistake and that he’s the one for her,” an insider reveals. “In the past, Kim was friendly to Reggie but now she’s stopped responding.”
Kardashian and Humphries are set to wed on August 20, and cameras will be rolling for a four hour two-part special on E! I think it’s safe to say, Reggie will not be at the wedding.
The Lake County Fielders are having a tough season… last month their announcer quit on their air during a game, and now the team had to cancel a game because they did not have baseballs to play with during a game between the Calgary Vipers. While the Fiedlers said on their Facebook page that the game was canceled due to “saftey issues,” the Calgary Vipers are speaking out!
Viper infielder Chad Ehrnsberger posted online: “They had a great crowd there tonight but yes the baseballs were a joke. They were like little league practice balls purchased at Dick’s. I’ll put it like this…when I give lessons or throw BP to my travel team, if I come across these balls I throw them out. And we were using them as game balls!”
The game was called after just one inning when the Vipers refused to play because of the poor ball conditions. This is not the first time players have walked off the field during a Fielders game. Earlier this season, then manager Tim Johnson and 11 players walked off the field because they haven’t been paid. The Fielders are reportedly behind in over $185,000 in rent. The team is partly owned by movie star Kevin Costner, and at a networth of $150 m you think he could afford $5.00 MLB offical Rawlings game day baseballs.
