People magazine has released its first photos of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’s wedding this past weekend. The couple earned a reported $17.9 million on the wedding…. including $2.5 millon from People for exclusive rights to the wedding photos. People released its cover for the new issue on stands this Friday in which Kardashian says “she felt like a princess.”
The couple made $15 million alone just from the TV rights for E!’s two-part four hour wedding special to air in October.
In what was dubbed as the reality royal wedding, Yahoo noted that its site saw three times as many searches for the name Kim Kardashian on the day of her wedding as they saw for Kate Middleton on the Royal Wedding back on April 29.
Talk about a hapily ever after!
No resolution to the NBA lockout yet, but the entire New Jersey Nets team has been given clearance to attend Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries wedding. Despite previous concerns that the no player-owner contact rule would prevent the Nets from attending the jersey chasing wedding of the century, all players and team personnel got the OK to go Saturday’s nuptials.
The Nets made the cut, after the bride-to-be had to disinvite 50 guests at the last minute because of over crowding. The fire department deemed the venue unsafe with guests, TV equipment and production crew on location. E! is filming the Kardashian-Humphries wedding in a four hour-two part TV special.
Other sports celebrities who made the guest-list are Venus and Serena Williams, Carmelo Anthony (Mr. La La Vazquez) and brother-in-law Lamar Odom. However, it appears as though Reggie Bush’s invite was lost in the mail!

Despite making $14 million in the NBA, Boston Celtics Delonte West has applied for a job at Home Depot during the NBA lockout. West broke the news to his Twitter followers saying, ” It’s official.. Pride 2 the side.. just filled out a application at Home Depot.. Lockout aint a game.”
Unlike most players, who are taking their talents to Europe during the league’s hiatus over labor disputes, West is not able to leave the country after he was put on probation on gun charges.
West is most famously known for allegedly having an affair with LeBron James’ mom, which help attribute to LeBron leaving Cleveland. And it doesn’t look like West can ask LeBron for any of his $45 million during the lockout!
While most players are going over seas to play basketball during the NBA lockout, Minnesota Timberwolves Anthony Randolph has taken the Animal House route and wants to join a fraternity. Randolph left college early to pursue his NBA dreams after his freshmen year at LSU. While Randolph continued to take online classes for his sociology major, with an NBA season likely, he has rented an apartment for the fall in Baton Rouge within walking distance of LSU’s campus.
“The students know I’m from the NBA, but it’s more fun because I can focus on my schoolwork,” Randolph told Yahoo Sports. “I don’t have the basketball distraction. I’m a more focused student now after being in the real world for a couple of years.”
Hope he handles hazing better than Dez Bryant!
