Super Bowl XLV turning into a hair battle btewen Polamalu and Matthews

Earlier this week, Green Bay Packers’ linebacker Clay Matthews signed a deal with Suave shampoo for men as their newest spokesman, making Super Bowl XLV a battle of the hair. Pittsburgh Steelers Troy Polamalu already has an endorsement deal for Head & Shoulders shampoo. In August, P&G paid for a million-dollar insurance policy from Lloyd’s of London for Polamalu’s hair. Matthews should take note, back in 2004 during a Steelers-Kansas City Chiefs game, Polamalu was tackled when running back Larry Johnson pulled Polamalu’s hair.

Chad Ochocinco changing his name back to Johnson

The artist formally known as Chad Ochocinco is changing his name back to Johnson. Ochocinco told NFL Live despite past drama he is staying with the Cincinnati Bengals in the final year of his contract and will start fresh by changing his name back to Johnson. The 6-time Pro Bowler first adopted the last name in 2006 during Hispanic Heritage Month. Ochocinco announced he would like to go by “Ocho Cinco,” in honor of his football number 85.

On October 29, 2006, during warm-ups before the Atlanta Falcons game, Ochocinco wore a jersey with the name “Ochocinco” on the back. Just before kickoff, Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer ripped the name tag on the jersey to reveal C.Johnson. The NFL fined Ochocinco $5,000. In 2008, Ochocinco legally changed his name, forcing the league to allow Ochocinco to have the last name on his jersey for the 2009 season.

As fellow Chaser AJ pointed out… Ochocinco is engaged, which maybe the real reason he is changing his last name back to Johnson. Who would want to be Mrs. Ochocinco… ¡Ay, caramba!

Packers & Steelers are going to the Super Bowl while fans burn Jay Cutlers’ jersey

Congratulations to the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers who are going to the 2011 Super Bowl in Dallas, but one person who is not celebrating is Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Bears fans are burning Cutler’s jersey after he left the NFC Championship game in the third quarter because of a sore knee. It’s not just fans who are calling Cutler out, but even players are questioning the quarterback’s heart on Twitter.

2-time Super Bowl Champion Deion Sanders: “Folks i never question a players injury but i do question a players heart. Truth.”

NFL analyst Mark Schlereth: “As a guy how had 20 knee surgeries you’d have to drag me out on a stretcher to Leave a championship game!”

Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrick Brooks: “HEY there is no medicine for a guy with no guts and heart.”

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones Drew: “Hey I think the urban meyer rule is effect right now… When the going gets tough……..QUIT..”

As the Chicago bears v. Green Bay Packers and New York Jets v. Pittsburgh Steelers prepare for their respective conference championships test your Jersey Chasing knowledge. While everyone cannot be a winner on the field, as these men have proved, they can still be winners off.

Jamie Lynn Sigler had a summer romance with this NFL quarterback. The former Sopranos star even escorted him at the 2010 Tony Awards where he introduce a performance from the play Memphis. Despite their 7-year age gap, the two immediately connected after meeting at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The dad of an 11-year old daughter briefly dated the socialite in 2004. Paris Hilton was spotted in the stands cheering her man on after they met in Vegas. The NFL star later brushed off their relationship, telling Sports Illustrated it was just fun and nothing serious.
Though never officially confirmed, ESPN’s Erin Andrews was linked to the NFL quarterback and allegedly spotted in his private sky box cheering him on. In the past, Andrews has led others to believe she is dating someone to gain publicity… anyone remember Dancing With The Stars?
Former Hills star Kristin Cavallari was honored as our Jersey Chaser for the Month of September when she began dating Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Culter… but this is not Cavallari’s first time jersey chasing. The Justin Bobby-ex has also dated another quarterback playing for a conference championship this weekend
Spotted- Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohar getting cozy with an NFL quarterback. After breaking up with co-star Ed Westwick, Szohar entered the jersey chasing game. She hails from the home state of her quarterback’s team. A different pace than the Upper East Side, they have been spotted at NBA games and grabbing pizza.
Canadian actress Missy Peregrym chose football over hockey when she dated the NFL quarterback. The model-actress dated the NFL Bad Boy for two years before she broke up with him right before he led his team to the Super Bowl. Peregrym’s ex is now engaged, and Pergrym has retired from jersey chasing.
Julia Allison is the former editor of Star Magazine turned lingerie model who began dating the NFL quarterback in 2009. Allison welcomed the quarterback to her hometown when he was traded. Allison was two-years older than her jersey chasing boyfriend, which may explain why they are no longer together…
