Baseball playoffs haven’t exactly been getting the best ratings… Fox even buried Game 3 of the ALCS in the afternoon for X Factor before a two-hour rain delay ruined the plan, so the MLB’s latest promo featured the St. Louis Cardnials Rally Squirrel. A squirrel ran across the field in Games 4 and 5 of the NLDS between the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies. In Game 4, the play as interrupted when the Rally Squirrel ran across home plate as Phillies pitcher Roy Oswalt was delivering a pitch to Skip Schumaker. The pitch was called a ball much to Oswalt and Phillies manager Charlie Manuel’s dismay. The Cardinals went on to win the series causing many to attribute the win to the Rally Squirrel. Derek Jeter’s season maybe over with the New York Yankees, but his relationship with Minka Kelly has gone into extra innings. The couple was spotted in Miami together over the weekend having breakfast at Morgans South Beach. A source told the New York Post, “They are trying to see what the future holds for them. They may eventually get back together. This was not some sort of final conversation and meeting between them.”
After marriage rumors, Kelly and Jeter threw fans a curve ball when they broke up in August after three years together. Kelly is currently on location in Miami, filming her new show “Charles Angels” on ABC. After the breakup, Kelly was linked to her costar Ramon Rodriguez.
Last Thursday the Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs by the Detroit Tigers, but at least Jeter is not striking out off the field.
Women often compare delivery a baby to running a marathon, but Amber Miller actually gave birth to a baby girl after she finished the Chicago Marathon on Sunday!
Miller was 39 weeks pregnant was was given permission by her doctor to run the 26.2 mile race. The avid runner ran two miles, walked two miles but started feelings contractions towards the end of the race. She finished in 6 hours and 25 minutes, ate a sandwich, then went to the hospital!
Miller ran the marathon with her husband, but left him after the first mile and finished before him. The couple named their daughter June, who was 7 lbs, 24 ounces.
Perez Hilton is reporting marriage problems for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humprhies. Despite making $65 million in 2010, Humphries apparently has problems with his wife’s spending habits.
“One of the biggest issues for Kris is Kim’s preoccupation with money. He has started to pay attention to how much she spends, and it’s been a major shock. He tried to talk to her about slowing down, but she told him it was none of his business.”
The report comes out the same day Kim’s Fairy Tale Wedding special debuts on E! The previews of the two night-four hour special highlights the family drama leading up to the wedding. Problems or no problems, Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest this morning that she hopes to have kids a year from now.
Humphries made $3 million last season with the New Jersey Nets but is now a free agent. His future remains uncertain during the NBA lockout, while the couple are filming Kim and Kourtney Take New York. Looks like Kris a reality star chaser!
