Tom Brady’s new commerical for UGGs have just arrived in time for the NFL season, and while Brady is a fan of lambskin footwear, we’re willing to bet that no other NFL quarterbacks will call out the two-time Super Bowl MVP!
When one thinks football, white skinny jeans and black tank tops do not come to mind… unless you’re Tom Brady. But New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is taking some heat for posing in the newest issue of GQ Magazine and is even being called out by fellow QBs.
Although the shoot was for charity, Super Bowl winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers berated Sanchez in an ESPN radio interview: “Look at this. That’s embarrassing. Page 94 of the GQ thing here. That’s terrible.”
The comments caused such a stir, Sanchez released a statment through the Jets defending his clothing choice, “I think he was, obviously, making a joke out of it, and that’s fine, giving me a good ribbing like the guys on our team. That’s totally understandable, but I’m just happy that it ended up working out for a good cause and we got to partner with two great companies and one great charity, with Hugo Boss and Tuesday’s Children.”
Phillies bench player John Mayberry Jr. can’t score on the field or off. After seeing Pirates of the Caribbean, the .264 right fielder asked his agent to set him up with actress Antoinette Nikprelaj who played the mermaid, only problem is Nikprelaj is married and has a child!
In the email, Mayberry’s agent wrote: “I hate to even be sending you this e-mail, and I’m quite embarrassed to say the least, but we have a young client on the Philadelphia Phillies who asked us if we knew any agents at Innovative Artists and could connect him to Antoinette Nikprelaj.
“I know you’re not a dating or set-up service, but John Mayberry Jr. (Phillies OF) would love to meet Antoinette or invite her to a baseball game sometime. Would this be possible?”
He added, “Here’s a bio of John to give you some more info on him (he’s a great guy, down-to-earth, humble, Stanford-educated, etc.) Thanks for considering this as you know how this business is and servicing clients.”
Like any good publicist… Nikprelaj’s agent sent the email to the New York Post!
