CC Sabathia loses 25 pounds by not eating Captain Crunch cereal

New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia lost 25 pounds during the offseason by cutting out Captain Crunch cereal from his daily diet. When he reported to Yankees Spring Training Camp, Sabathia went from a hefty 315 lbs last season to 290 and even joked about his weight loss saying, “I’m actually what it says on the back of my card.” Before the CC Diet becomes the newest diet trend, exactly how much did the 30-year old pitcher eat? “I used to eat it a box at a time,” Sabathia told New York Daily News. “I want to try to pitch as long as I can, hopefully another eight to 10 years. This is just the first step in trying to do that.” Looks like CC is ready to “Crunch-a-size” his opponents.

A-Rod outraged over Cameron Diaz popcorn feeding shot at Super Bowl

Guess A-Rod wasn’t ready for his closeup. Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is said to be outraged he was shown being fed popcorn by his girlfriend and our July Jersey Chaser Cameron Diaz during the Super Bowl.

After Rodriguez was shown being “whipped” by his girlfriend to more than the 111 million people watching the game, the pinstripe slugger went “ballistic” and refused for Fox to show anymore shots of him and Diaz watching the game. Despite the live game with many celebrities in attendance, Rodriguez felt he was set up by the Fox camera crew…. this coming from a guy with a centaur portrait of him hanging in his house.

MLK’s son buying the New York Mets?

MLK’s son, Martin Luther King III, is interested in buying the New York Mets. The community activist and son of one of the greatest civil rights leaders is apart of a bidding group along with former Mets first baseman Ed Kranepool, Donn Clendenon Jr. (son of 1960 Mets’ World Series MVP) and television executive Larry Meli. The group is flying to New York to meet with Mets owner Fred Wilpon. The Wilpon’s are looking to sell between 20-25% of the team. Recently, the Wilpons were named in a lawsuit on behalf of the victims of the Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme.

Who would have thought Martin Luther King and Bernie Madoff in the same sentence?
