Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian’s divorce has lasted longer than their actual marriage. Now, Humphries has made one final attempt to void the couple’s prenup giving Kardashian the ultimatum to admit their marriage was fake or he will release emails, texts and phone calls to prove that it was.
Though the couple’s divorce is not finalized, Kardashian has moved onto her next romance with rapper Kanye West. While the couple have long been friends, West revealed his true feelings in his latest song Theraflu: “And I’ll admit I fell in love with Kim, around the same time she had fell in love with him. Well that’s cool, baby girl do your thing. Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team.”
Despite the romantic gesture, Kanye may have actually helped Humphries in the fraud case. Celebrity divorce attorney Vicki Ziegler claims, “The fraud must have been about something vital to the relationship that directly affected why the party who was deceived [Kris] agreed to the marriage. If she cheated, her credibility becomes very weak.”
The Los Angeles Dodgers needed a little Magic after what they endured in the past two years, which includes filing for bankruptcy and a bitter divorce between their owners. But yesterday, team owner Frank McCourt announced new owners for the team who have agreed to buy the Dodgers spear-headed by none other than Magic Johnson.
The deal was finalized just hours before the team was supposed to be auctioned off to three potential buyers including another sports connection; St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke. The Dodgers filed for bankruptcy in June of 2011, after team owners Frank and Jamie McCourt failed to settle team ownership in their divorce proceedings.
$2 Billion is the largest ever price tag for a US sports team.
Justin Bieber proved his talents on the basketball court winning the NBA All-Star celebrity MVP over Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen. Now, a movie is being written about his basketball skills.
In June, Bieber revealed he was collaborating with Marky Mark on a basketball movie. Wahlberg will play a veteran baller who takes the up and coming Bieber under his wing. They hope to begin production for the movie this summer.
“It certainly [has to be] something that’s good enough to go and have green-lit and make right away, but I think it will be well worth the wait,” Bieber said.
No stranger to box office success with sports movies, Whalberg won an Academy Award for “The Fighter,” in which Whalberg both starred in and produced. This will be Bieber’s first motion picture despite the successful “Never Say Never”concert film.
Tracy McGrady’s net worth is over $75 million, but that doesn’t mean he passes over a good deal.
TheNBA star launched a daily deal website similar to Groupon. TMacDeals offer discounted prices on McGrady merchandise and other sports based retailers, including Adidas, Dicks Sportings Goods and Best Buy. The Atlanta Hawk says he was inspired because, “When I started my career, the only way to interact with fans was signing autographs after a game or doing some promotional appearance. Now I can interact with my fans instantaneously.”
McGrady partnered with Engager Media, which launched the daily deals platform online and on Facebook. Such prized possessions fans can purchase include a T-Mac street sign.
Despite never leading his team out of the first round of the playoffs, McGrady said he thinks he is Hall of Fame worthy. McGrady can now add tech mogul to his list of achievements.
