Our July Jersey Chaser Cameron Diaz is back together with Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriquez. The couple began dating back in the summer but broke up in October. Now, paparazzis have caught the pair sun bathing on a yacht in South Beach. According to the Daily Mail, A-Rod and Diaz are back together:
“He cut things off from her and she was really hurt. She wasn’t looking to get married or anything, but Alex has a wandering eye and wanted to see other people. But, he missed her. Cameron is really a lot of fun and Alex always had a good time with her… He called her and asked her to get together and at first Cameron said, “no,” But after a long conversation he finally convinced her to meet with him. For now, it looks like all is forgiven.”
The Gold Glove is one of the most prestigious awards in baseball. 18 awards are handed out each season to the best player in their position in both the National and American leagues. Winners are voted on by league managers and coaches. Today it was announced White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle has won his second Golden Glove for AL pitcher, the problem is it wasn’t the MLB who announced it. Instead, Buehrle’s wife, Jamie Buehrle took to her Facebook to deliver the news. In a Facebook status Buehrle wrote, “So proud of my husband. He is now a Two time gold glove winner!!!”
The MLB is scheduled to announce the 2010 Gold Glove winners Tuesday and Wednesday, well at least we’ll find out the other 17 winners.
Props to my employers the Chicago Tribune for breaking this story & keep on chasing Jamie!
The San Francisco Giants are the World Series Champions, and to celebrate Jay Leno had Giants closer Brian Wilson on the Tonight Show. Throughout the season, Wilson has made references to a mysterious “friend” who wears a dominatrix mask and appears in various interviews. The Machine made a cameo on Leno yesterday. Wilson’s no hold bars personality has created quite the cult following, so much so that Giants fans have created a Facebook fan page called “Brian Wilson Should Host SNL.”
The page already has more than 15,000 fans! The fan page is also calling for the Machine to make an appearance as well. America was first introduced to the Machine back in August during this interview….
Legendary baseball manager Sparky Anderson has passed away at age 83 due to complications of demetia. Anderson was the first manager to win a World Series in both leagues (Detroit Tigers 1984, Cincinnati Reds 1975 & 1976). As a Detroit girl and Tigers fan this was very sad. As I was looking through YouTube, I found this PSA announcement from the 80s that sums up Sparky’s persona.
